About Hackropole
The tasks climb steadily in difficulty, so it suits first-time CTF players as well as experienced ones. Community writeups are linked from each task, which makes it useful for studying after you attempt a problem.
It runs in the browser; some tasks ship a Docker Compose file that you run locally. You can play without an account, and signing in with Discord, GitHub or GitLab saves your progress. The site is in English and French.
