About Breakpoint
Breakpoint is a curated directory of programming games: daily puzzles, coding games, challenge platforms, competitive programming, CTFs and wargames, bot arenas, seasonal events and typing games.
General daily-game directories file programming games under "Other", and the rest are scattered across Reddit threads and awesome-lists that go stale. Breakpoint puts them in one place, sorted by the skill you want to practice.
Breakpoint (breakpoint.games) is unrelated to Ghost Recon Breakpoint or Solana's Breakpoint conference.
How listing works
Listing is free. A person plays every submission before it goes live. Every approved listing gets a normal link to the game. The "Listed on Breakpoint" badge is optional.
Submit a game to get started.
Status checks
A checker visits every listed game about every 12 hours and records whether it answered. Each game page shows when it was last checked and its uptime over the last 30 days. A game that fails several checks in a row is flagged for a person to look at. Nothing is removed automatically.
Lists only show a status when something is off: Having trouble (amber) means recent checks failed, and Ended (grey) means the game is gone. No label means it answered on its last check.
Games that have shut down move to the graveyard and stay listed for reference.
BreakpointBot
The checker identifies itself with this user agent:
BreakpointBot/1.0 (+https://breakpoint.games/about#bot)
It makes one request per game per check, follows up to five redirects and reads only the start of the page, to find its title and preview image. If you run a listed game and want it checked differently, get in touch through the submit page.
