Kaizen: A Factory Story

Program factory tools on a timeline to build 1980s electronics

Kaizen is a puzzle game set in a factory in 1980s Japan. For each order you place tools such as arms, welders and drills on a grid, then program what they do on a multi-lane timeline so that parts arrive, join and leave as a finished calculator, camcorder or arcade cabinet. Invalid steps light up red until you fix them.

About Kaizen: A Factory Story

The puzzles train sequencing, timing and parallel steps, much like Opus Magnum. Each solution gets a report on time, efficiency and profit, so it suits players who enjoy reworking an answer to make it smaller or faster.

It is a paid desktop game on Steam made by the team behind the Zachtronics games. There is no login beyond Steam, and you can export animated GIFs of your solutions.
