Booly

Write Python to guide a hungry cat to its breakfast bowl

Booly is a beginner coding game where you write Python to guide a cat named Booly to his breakfast. You write code in an editor, or tap commands on a phone, then press Run and watch Booly carry it out line by line. Each level gives up to three stars for reaching the bowl, eating every treat and using few lines.

About Booly

Its 21 levels are split into four chapters: basic commands, for loops with range, while with if, elif and else, and functions with parameters and return. Lists, strings and imports are not covered. It suits people who have never programmed, and experienced coders can skip ahead to chapter three. Errors come with short, friendly messages.

It is free, runs in the browser and needs no sign-up, with progress saved in the browser. It is made by AlgoCademy, a coding course site, which points finishers to its own first lessons.
