Gossip Glomers
Build distributed systems nodes and test them against failures
Gossip Glomers is a series of six distributed systems challenges. You write the code for the nodes of a small cluster. A tool called Maelstrom runs your nodes, passes messages between them, injects failures and checks that your system still keeps its guarantees.

About Gossip Glomers
The challenges start with a simple echo service, then move to unique ID generation, broadcast, a grow-only counter, a Kafka-style log and a key/value store with transactions. They suit developers who want hands-on practice with the ideas behind real distributed databases.
You run everything on your own computer, for free. The guide uses Go, but Maelstrom works with any language. Fly.io made the challenges with Kyle Kingsbury, the author of Jepsen.
On Breakpoint since 23 Oct 2026.
