Kaggle Santa Competition
Optimise a Christmas-themed combinatorial puzzle against thousands of teams
Each December Kaggle runs a Santa competition built around a hard optimisation problem with a holiday story. The 2025 task was to pack N Christmas tree polygons into the smallest possible square, for every N from 1 to 200. You write solvers, submit a file of solutions, and climb a public leaderboard over several weeks.
