generals.bot
Write bots for a generals.io strategy contest
generals.bot was a bot competition for generals.io, a strategy game where you grow armies on a grid and try to capture the enemy general. You wrote a bot that read the map state each turn and replied with one move. The contest used its own rules: fog of war, maps 18 to 21 cells wide, players building their own castles, and a limit of 1,200 turns.

About generals.bot
It suited people who like search, heuristics or machine learning, since each move had to come back within 150 milliseconds.
Bots talked to the engine over standard input and output. You could use Python, C++, Rust or any language shipped as a binary. Equilibre and ÚFAL ran a Sprint and a Marathon with cash prizes. Both events have ended, and the site is now an archive.
