Kaggle Simulations
Build game-playing agents and climb Kaggle's live leaderboards
Kaggle Simulations are competitions where you build an agent instead of a prediction file. Your agent is a program that plays a game, and Kaggle runs it in matches, called episodes, against agents from other players. Each agent gets a rating on a live leaderboard that changes as it plays more games.

About Kaggle Simulations
Past games include Halite IV and Lux AI Season 3, and recent ones include Orbit Wars and a Pokémon trading card game challenge. You can use rule-based code, search or reinforcement learning, so it suits people with some machine learning or game AI experience.
Agents are written in Python, and the open-source kaggle-environments library lets you run games on your own machine. You need a Kaggle account to submit. Not every simulation offers prize money.
On Breakpoint since 23 Oct 2026.
