AI Arena is a ladder where StarCraft II bots play ranked games against each other. You write a bot, zip it and upload it, and the site runs matches for it on dedicated hardware around the clock. There are ladders for full melee games and for smaller micro battles, and games are streamed live.

A good bot has to handle economy, building, scouting and combat all in code, so it suits experienced programmers who are interested in game AI.
You can write bots in Python with python-sc2, or in C++, Java, .NET, Go, Rust or Node.js. You need an account to compete. The community runs the service and pays for it through Patreon. The old sc2ai.net address now redirects to aiarena.net.
