Solve hands-on hacking challenges and earn belts
pwn.college is a hands-on security course built from challenges. Each challenge starts a Linux environment for you. You study a program, find a way to break it, and get a secret flag, which you submit to prove you solved it. The flag file is readable only by root, so you often have to trick the program into giving it to you.

About pwn.college
The core path covers intro to cybersecurity, program security, system security and software exploitation, and you earn colored belts as you finish. It starts with Linux basics, so beginners can join.
It is free and open to anyone, but you need an account. A team at Arizona State University runs it, and the platform code is open source. You work in a browser terminal, VS Code or a Linux desktop, or connect over SSH.
