git-gud is a game that teaches git with real commands in your terminal. Each level sets up a situation, explains it, and gives you a goal. You solve it with normal git commands, then run git gud test to check your work and git gud load next to move on. Commands like git gud goal and git gud explain remind you what to do.

About git-gud
The levels are grouped by skill, and each skill adds a new git topic. Early levels guide you step by step, and later ones expect you to type the commands yourself. It suits beginners who want hands-on practice.
It is a free Python package. You install it with pip (Python 3.6 or newer). It is open source under the MIT license, by Ben Thayer.
