Gomocup
Program a gomoku engine and enter it in a yearly AI tournament running since 2000
Gomocup is an annual tournament for programs that play gomoku, the five-in-a-row board game. You write an engine that talks to the tournament manager over a simple standard input and output protocol, enroll it, and it plays the other entries across freestyle, standard, renju and caro rule sets. Results, Elo ratings and game records are published afterwards.

About Gomocup
It rewards search algorithms, evaluation functions and careful time management, since each engine gets one CPU core, a memory cap and per-move and per-match time limits. Starter code exists in C++, C#, Delphi and Java, and any language works if it builds a Windows executable.
Entry is free with no prizes. One person may enter one engine per tournament. Tournaments usually run in spring; past engines can be downloaded to test against.
