Swarm
Program robots in a functional language to explore and gather resources
Swarm is a programming game that runs in your terminal. You start with very basic robots in a huge 2D world. You write programs that send your robots out to explore and collect resources. With those resources you build better robots that can run more complex programs. There is an open-world mode, a tutorial and a set of scenarios with fixed goals and limits.

About Swarm
Robots use the game's own language, a small statically typed functional language with recursion. It suits programmers who enjoy functional ideas and slow, step-by-step progress.
It is free. You can download builds for Linux and macOS, or install it with Cabal, the Haskell build tool. The source is on GitHub.
