Terminal
Code a tower-defense strategy that fights other players' algos on a ladder
Terminal is a tower-defense game that you play by writing an algorithm, called an algo. Each turn your code decides where to place defensive structures and when to send attacking units across the board. You upload the algo and it plays ranked matches against other players' algos on its own.

About Terminal
The game trains turn-based planning, simulation and resource trade-offs under a time limit. It suits intermediate programmers who are comfortable reading a game API and iterating on a strategy.
It runs in the browser, where you can watch replays, and you can test locally with the starter kits. An account is needed. The global ladder is free and always open, and sponsored student competitions with prizes run several times a year.
On Breakpoint since 25 Oct 2026.
