City at Low Tide
Investigate a flooded town by querying its records with SQL.
City at Low Tide is an illustrated story from SQLBrief in which you explore a flooded old district by querying its records with SQL. Unusually low tides have opened streets that are normally under water. You follow Inga, a surveyor sent to inspect eleven empty buildings, after a woman rings for help from a clinic whose staircase has just collapsed. Each step gives you a task, such as finding which routes are passable, and you write a real PostgreSQL query against the survey ledger. Then you decide what to do based on the result, and wrong choices play out in the story.

About City at Low Tide
It teaches SQL from the very beginning: reading a table with SELECT and FROM, then filtering rows with WHERE. No experience is needed. The first tasks come with a prepared query and a short explanation, and hints are available, so it suits beginners who would rather follow a story than a course.
Chapter One, A Bell Above the Water, is free to read and play in the browser, in English or Russian, and needs no account. Progress and queries are saved in your browser. Later chapters are not out yet.
