Exapunks
Write code for tiny agents that hack through networks
You play a hacker in 1997 who writes programs for EXAs, small agents that move through computer networks. Your code makes them copy themselves, delete files and stop other EXAs. Targets include banks, universities, factories, TV stations, the government and even your own body. An in-game zine called Trash World News gives you tutorials and hacking tips.

About Exapunks
It trains assembly-style programming with many agents working at once and moving data between machines. It suits programmers who want hard puzzles wrapped in a story.
It is a paid game from Zachtronics, released in 2018 for Windows, macOS and Linux on Steam, GOG and itch.io. It includes side games you unlock by hacking, and a puzzle tool lets people write custom networks in JavaScript.
On Breakpoint since 23 Oct 2026.
