Hanukkah of Data is a set of eight short data puzzles, now called Noah's Rug. All puzzles use the same made-up dataset. You explore it with any tool you like, such as SQL, VisiData or Datasette, and enter the answer you find. Each correct answer lights a candle.

About Hanukkah of Data
It teaches practical data analysis: joining tables, filtering records and following clues through data. After you finish, a speedrun mode lets you replay the same puzzles on a harder dataset.
It suits people with basic data skills. The puzzles first ran during Hanukkah in 2022, and the current edition on the site is from 2023.
