Robocode
Code a battle tank and fight other robots in an arena
This is a programming game where you write the code for a battle tank. You decide how your robot moves, scans for enemies with its radar, aims its gun and fires. Then you put it in an arena against other robots, watch the battle, and improve your code after each fight.

About Robocode
It teaches programming in a playful way and works for both beginners and experienced developers. Strong robots use clever movement and targeting, so there is a lot of room to grow.
The classic version is a free, open-source Java desktop app under the Eclipse Public License. Mathew Nelson started it in 2000, and IBM released it in 2001. The newer Robocode Tank Royale lets you write bots in Python, Java, .NET or TypeScript.
On Breakpoint since 23 Oct 2026.
