Strategy game where your own code controls every unit
Screeps is a strategy game where you do not control units by hand. Instead, you write JavaScript that tells your units, called creeps, how to gather resources, build and fight. Screeps: World is a shared online world where your code keeps running all the time. Screeps: Arena is a separate game with shorter one-on-one matches.

About Screeps
You practise writing long-running code, planning, and keeping a growing codebase in good shape. Other languages such as Rust, C++ and Go can be used through WebAssembly.
It suits programmers with some experience. The game is paid on Steam, and extra CPU for the official World server costs more. You can also host your own server.
